Collect files using Secure Fetch with End-to-End Encryption

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is intended to prevent data from being read or secretly modified other than by the actual sender and recipient. The sender encrypts the messages, but the third party does not have the means to decrypt them and stores them encrypted. The recipients retrieve the encrypted data and decrypt it themselves. In AXEL Go, End-to-end encryption is provided to collect confidential files from your clients. When you turn ON E2EE you are required to set a passphrase. So, do you still remember your passphrase? If you answered no, then consider resetting your passphrase now, writing it down immediately, and putting it somewhere safe. Without your passphrase, you risk locking yourself out of your own files!

Note that, for your security, AXEL Go does not store your passphrase anywhere. If you forget your passphrase, certain security features that require a passphrase will not work. For example, if you have an end-to-end encrypted file, you will not be able to decrypt the file without your passphrase. And since we don’t store your passphrase, there will be no way to retrieve your passphrase. If you forget your passphrase, you must reset and create a new one. However, when your passphrase is reset, any end-to-end encrypted files using the old passphrase will no longer be accessible.

Backup your files from your PC or Mac to your cloud automatically

To backup, your local files to the cloud, download and install the AXEL Go desktop application and turn ON the Backup feature from the settings of your desktop app. A folder AXEL Backups will be created on your PC or Mac and the same folder is displayed along with your PC/Mac system name on your AXEL Go cloud storage.

Now everything is set, you can start working on the files and folder locally inside the AXEL Backups or just copy the relevant files that you want to backup into the AXEL Backups folder. All the files available under AXEL Backups will start syncing automatically to AXEL Go cloud storage. Any files deleted locally will always have a copy of the files stored as a backup in your online cloud storage.
